holiday cocktails with Damn the Weather

fun, seasonal cocktails spice up any holiday party. Bryn Lumsden, mixologist and owner of Damn the Weather, created two cocktails aptly named after our ‘holidays are a drag’ set to make sure that the drinks at your holiday party are a hit.

1 oz gin (beefeater comparable london dry will do)

.75 oz byrrh (french aromatized wine)

.5 oz combier fruit rouges (all-natural french “red berry” liqueur)

.5 oz fresh lemon juice

1 oz heavy cream

fresh whites of one egg

3 oz soda water


 combine all ingredients except soda water into a cocktail shaker

shake vigorously without ice and then again with a few ice cubes

add one once ounce of soda glassware

strain the cocktail into glassware

delicately add the remaining soda water

*garnish with two brandied cherries on a pick*

1 oz encanto pisco (or equivalent)

1 oz dolin dry vermouth (or equivalent)

.5 oz green charteuse


add all ingredients to glassware

add ice and stir lightly

*garnish with a pretty piece of lime peel*
