A dashing gentleman came in to glassybaby last week...why? He had heard a KUOW radio feature on glassybaby while traveling home to his wife and five whopping children. Although it was late, 8ish, he turned off the car and listened to the radio piece in his driveway until its completion. KUOW host John Moe chose to feature glassybaby on his weekly business show called "The Works." We aired with him on November 14. Check out the interview with streaming radio. We queued third in his three features and the great news is...people are listening to their local radio programs.
Many store anecdotes streamed from the piece on glassybaby. In one case, a dula visited us, she was new to the product. However, having heard the KUOW piece, she purchased a "Rudolph" glassybaby. She explained it will be a focus of strength for
her clients, something visual with power and soul to help them through labor. We find glassybaby interwoven in lives in so many ways.
Susan Spezza, presents yet another great tale of interweaving. She decided marvelously to throw a pre-knee surprise party for her pre-op hubby, who was to receive double knee replacement surgery. Julie envisioned and realized an evening where her husband came home to faraway dear friends (who had made the miles to surround the surprise table.) Dinner was prepared by the genius of Mistral chefs. And glassybaby adorned the table, alternating between glasses in wine flight formation... they had a magical evening and graciously sent us this photo by Jamie Pflughoeft of Cowbelly Pet Photography.
In this week of Thanksgiving....it is simple...we thank you...you are our heartbeat...a father listening to our story in his driveway, a dula discovering the power of color in a simple vessel, a husband and wife celebrating knee strength...we give Thanks.
