A mother and daughter visited our new store. They had a great familial aura between them and a kindred mirth that was just infectious. A brief sketch of our banter content...The daughter was visiting from Hawaii...Mother and daughter, both self proclaimed glassybaby addicts, always travel with a cache of glassybaby..... This way they can illuminate any hotel room, lanai or veranda at a vacation moment's notice. They listed the various ports of call where glassybaby have been with them...not only wonderful but...smart. As they were leaving the mother deftly added: "Oh...and we want you to make a line of toenail polish that matches the glassybaby colors." They left in a peal of laughter.
More feel good news...I received this wonderful email entitled "For the love of glassybaby:"
"Nicola I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy reading your glassybaby blog. I love how it makes me feel like a part of your in-store experience, even though I am a continent away. I was introduced to glassybaby (as was much of the country) by The Martha Stewart Show. I immediately fell in love and couldn't wait to make my first purchase. As I am in Ohio, any purchases have had to be of the online variety, but you can be sure that if I am ever in Seattle, glassybaby will be at the top of my list. I now have 4 glassybaby on my mantel, but I hope there will be many more in my future. I lean to the pinks and purples, but love to browse the colors online. I can't imagine the decadence of basking in the colors in the store."
I love that she "...leans to the pinks and purples." Thanks Vicki for the charming letter. We look forward to your visit to Seattle, when we hope to be able to provide you with a pedicure.
Until Next Time...Nicola

Here is a tip for those who like to travel with their glassybabies....purchase some childrens' water wings! Just place the glassybaby in the middle of the water wing and inflate and place between clothes in your suitcase. This provides an ideal cushion for your glassybaby when traveling!
