Happy New Year. Welcome 2009.
We survived biblical snow. glassybaby color flurried out the doors of our three retail stores, and UPS was herculean in giving our colors flight. We hope that you had a wonderful holiday and got the colors you wanted.
Now to the New Year. First up, on Saturday January 24th we will open our doors at a civilized 10 am for our much sought after Seconds Sale. It is our way of bringing in the New Year. It will be my seventh Seconds Sale and, well, I love them. There is the craziest energy produced before and during the sale. We find ourselves in a vortex of glassybaby color frenzy. It is a testament to the adoration of our product. The equation?...Good deal plus good color equals throngs of glassybaby customers. I will report on the outcome. If you are local mark your calendar. Endnote...one of my favorite reflections upon last year...my nephew and niece along with their parents ( my sister and brother in law) summitted Kilimanjaro last spring. It was a rite of passage into altitude, an enormous and wonderful family journey and feat. Post climb, I was reunited with my nephew in the summer months. He gave me 3 volcanic looking rocks, one for me, one for my husband and one for our daughter...a small treasure from the summit of 'Kili.' I was so touched.
