We love this...our Madrona neighbor, Paul Beverage, the founder and creator of Wilridge Winery, will release his first Spring vintage of Wilridge wines on Wednesday, June 24th. This event takes place at his winery in Madrona, around the corner from glassybaby on 34th. We will be there to light the event and sell glassybaby...newest colors included, like devil dog, thistledown and gratitude. Please join us if you are local, the party clock starts at 5pm and ends at 9pm. Our store will have extended hours that day as well. Many of the Madrona shops will partake and stay open. What could be better than sipping on exquisite wines on a June evening in the lovely Madrona neighborhood? We beckon you.
Another event including glassybaby has already taken place. We are thrilled to be 'frequently flown' by the wonderful event planner/expert Sarah Cabatit. She is of Two Downtown lineage. The extraordinary former owners of Two Downtown made the tactical decision to retire and move to Thailand (we miss them.) Sarah, former Two Downtown Project Manager was passed the golden baton and has founded her own company named Eventwise. Her website launched this week...treat yourself to a peek at www.eventwiseplanning.com. Sarah is simply operatic in her ability to create event beauty; and she is crafty too. Her recent order with us included a blue palette of: peter pan, true blue and toy soldier. The event was an annual meeting for local nonprofits and their national donors. Sarah wisely adorned brunch table with glassybaby as vases, beautifully cupping white roses, white tulips and white carnations. At night, the blue glassybaby came to life with candlelight...to flame their gala event. Simply beautiful, the glassybaby duality she created.

As you read this (and thanks for reading)...I have touched down in Athens, Greece. I am on a small sojourn to celebrate the life of my Godfather...Uncle Sloane. I have this vision of glassybaby lighting the Acropolis...a nice fusion of where I am going and where I came from.
