Marissa, sales compatriot, marketing whiz and chronic lovely presence, conveyed a sweet sales call to me. A dear customer called for help putting together a glassybaby drinker duo. She prophetically desired one red drinker to be matched with one orange drinker. The combination had to be Lucie and Steve...to explain, Lucie is one of our treasured shop dogs owned and nurtured by our treasured CEO Steve...the perfect drinker and real life combo? Lucie and Steve of course. Lucie is truly part of our team...she is noble, somewhat coy and naps like an olympian napper. If you are color curious, just go to 'shop' on our website, then click on 'accessories' and you will view the divine color line up of our drinkers...cheers.
We love Matthew Robbins from Artfool in New York (www.artfool.com.) His vision and company create unbelievably gorgeous and truly magical events. If you treat yourself to a tour of his website, click on the Orvietto, Italian wedding. I have dreams of renewing my vows in this image. Beyond Artfool, Matthew contributes his brilliant eye to Martha Stewart's wedding website, in the Bride's Guide section. Here is where glassybaby enters. Matthew featured glassybaby in a June blog installment entitled: "A Candlelit Glow" (http://blogs1.marthastewart.com/weddings/2009/06/a-candlelit-glow.html#more.) The photos of glassybaby, inducing weak knees, are captured by Julie Skarratt...yet another link to beauty (www.julieskarratt.com.) Thanks for allowing the labyrinth of links...they are worth a look.
End note and hot tip. We have teamed up with the Seattle Wedding Show and the launch of their, au courant, Facebook presence (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Seattle-Wedding-Show/98863628414?_fb_noscript=1.) Vote for your favorite glassybaby trio. Once you have joined Seattle Wedding Show on Facebook. Cross your fingers and channel your lucky star, you may just win your chosen three glassybaby to add to your collection.
Reading the Facebook wall of entries for this contest is a walk through loveliness. Two entries, among so many, soared. One entrant wishes: "As my husband and I are about to celebrate our seventeenth wedding anniversary and, with hope and luck, his third year cancer free, I would pick autumn, sunshine and spring green, for reasons obvious and not. This trio represents hope, health and renewal and to me are a beautiful combination." What a beautiful and amazing entry...just found meandering among the many lovely and inspired entries. Another, moves to the whimsical: "A glassybaby trio in honor of my three legged dog, Chopper...he is black and white, so the trio should be snow, black cat and snow (Chopper loves cats, so he approves of the black cat addition!)" Vote now...the odds are really good and we love your heartfelt and charmingly personal entries.
Mark your calendars for Thursday, September 17th. We will host a lovely party in honor of our Bellevue opening at none other than our Bellevue Store on Main Street...details to follow soon.
Happy Fall in the Air, Until Next Time, Nicola
