Happy Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas on this very day. The sun is shining and it is an absolutely superior day, a great day to thank all of our dear customers for making the glassybaby yule tide gay. It was such a treat to be in the store and catch glimpses of family joy, spousal gift choosing and other acts of generosity in gift acquisition. So sweet and abundant.
One of my favorite moments...a brother and sister duo entered beaming at the brilliance of their shopping choice for mom. Mom had requested the gift of glassybaby in her wish color peter pan. They plucked peter pan off of the shelf definitively and proceeded to check out. I rung up the chosen beauty expressly and had to smile when realizing that they were using their mom's credit card. I love it. Merry Christmas to a very smart mother and her darling kids.
Another store passage...parents were shopping for their daughter. They gleefully described the impetus behind getting her a glassybaby this way: 'She has bought so many glassybaby for her friends, but never for herself.' Her turn has arrived. Her parents chose the lovely and evocative green glassybaby named gratitude. Lovely.
We hope that your holiday has been a glowing one. We hope that you got the right color. We hope that your shearling slippers fit. I shall return with more glassybaby tales in 2010.
