It is really great to see shoulders and toes again. I personally have been on a winter strike for at least 2 months, wearing sandals every day, regardless of inclement and often stormy weather. Seattle is glistening now...just what we all live for. In glassybaby-speak...the sky is a little more 'mountain lake' and a little less 'battle ship.' It is simply glorious.
Speaking of glorious, the glorious May issue of Martha Stewart's 'Living Magazine,' on page 44, shines with a trio of glassybaby (aquamarine, roots and cabo.) Also, there is a glamor shot of Lee. An introduction line to the article reads: "dreamers into doers." So well put. Lee's doing is why we all get to love glassybaby. In homage to Martha Stewart, bedford brown glassybaby, gives 10% of its sales to the Martha Stewart Center for Living at Mt. Sinai Medical Center. A wonderful abiding partnership. Foot note...we love that the May issue of 'Living' is entitled: "Color for Everyone"...we concur.
Small mention...who can resist sharing a page in 'Living' with my favorite condiment and little green wonder...the peperoncini? I may have to try the recipe for peperoncini stuffed with salami. Stay tuned for reviews.
First whimsy of the week...in the store we dispense glassybaby coloring sheets and crayons to little kiddos in tow with mom's who need shopability. The kids get to color in the blank glassybaby and dream up color names. A recent masterpiece named four glassybaby:
- double lime
- hot glass
- color heven
- florida beach water
So charming. The second whimsy of the week...was reported to blog central from our Bellevue store. We learned of a summer wedding...the mother of the groom was in to our Bellevue store on a shopping excursion. Her son had apparently conveyed to her:
'The only reason she said yes to my proposal is so she can have glassybaby in the wedding.'
We love it. We send our best wedding bliss and eternal happiness to this lovely couple on the verge. .
More Soon...more wedding tales soon...nupuality is in the air...to the light of glassybaby. Nicola
