My inbox just this morning held an email from Scotland. Kirsty discovered us by reading the recent Martha Stewart article featuring glassybaby. She was inquiring if we ship internationally? We are in the midst of quoting shipping 4 glassybaby to her house in Scotland as well as her house in Majorca. Footnote: I am willing to hand deliver 2 glassybaby to each location. We love the expansive, global reach, of Martha; and we love traveling with her. Welcome to glassybaby color Kirsty.
A darling Seattle, denimed, shopper was in to our Madrona Store. I had the pleasure of boxing and ringing up a perfect, single, BFF glassybaby for her. Her color decision was incredibly decisive. I had to inquire. She was on a mission to buy her mom a birthday present. glassybaby was her chosen gift. Before coming in, she vividly visualized a deep pink glassybaby for her mama. A careful and panoramic, optical scan of our behemoth shelf...lead her straight to BFF...perfection. A 'best friends forever' glassybaby to celebrate her mom's birthday, in the color she had imagined, a color that gives 10% of its proceeds to the Sloane Kettering Memorial Hospital...another glassybaby, customer, harmonic convergence. Happy Birthday Mom.
Tickle of the week...the calls and emails are quickening...subject-central here is: 'When is the seconds sale?' Thusly, I fielded a call from the voice of a ballerina. To explain, here was our exchange:
Ballerina: 'Could you tell me the date of your seconds sale?'
Me: 'Saturday, June 19th at our Madrona location...10am.'
Ballerina: (crestfallen) 'Oh no. I will be out of town.'
Me: 'Can you send a personal shopper?'
Ballerina: 'Maybe...or...could I come in early?'
(Little does she know...this could be riot provoking and is highly inadvisable.)
Me: 'I am so sorry...'
Ballerina: 'I'll give you ballet tickets.'
Me: 'I think that might be illegal.'
Ballerina: 'Ballet Tickets...I am a Ballerina.'
Me: 'So sorry...'
Ballerina: 'Do you want my phone number?...you might change your mind.'
Laughter and a graceful end to our merriment ensued...and then she was off of the phone in search of a personal shopper that loves the ballet.
More Soon, Nicola
