The clarion call of wedding bells is in the air...nuptials plus glassybaby is an amorous combination. Kelli, recently married, doted glassybaby throughout her wedding day...palette blue. Just this week, her dad shared a series of photos from the wedding. Here is one of the photos...sweetness...it reminds me of how a single glassybaby just 'holds its own,' not to mention a single pom of hydrangeas.
Instead of party favors, the newly wedded couple will make donations to 3 non profits:
- USO
- American Diabetes Association
- Susan G Komen Foundation
We wish this sweet, giving, couple, complete joy as they commence their journey together; and thanks to dad for the thought and action of sending such lovely memory photos.
Other notes from our camp...in celebration of the brilliance and talent of our glassblowers...we will weave interesting facts and happenings that relate to their work outside of our production. Taryn Bertolino, one of our studly glass blowers and also a support person to our Production Manager, Paul, provided this hot tip:
"If you have ever visited our Madrona Store during production hours, I am sure you and your friends and family have found yourselves mesmerized by the skills of our glassblowing crew. It is truly an art being able to move about the floor with such speed and agility as these guys do. They make it look much easier than it is! Something you should also know is that our glassblowers are all artists who work and create their own beautiful pieces outside of glassybaby. We are pleased to announce that they will be selling their own art during the 34th & Union Street Festival in Madrona. The fair will be held on Saturday, July 24th from 12-6pm along 34th Ave. with great items for purchase outside of the glassybaby store. We hope to see you there!"
(Additional hot tip...shop with dollars rather than plastic...I am fairly certain the glass blowers will be reconciling in the "green.")
Two Seconds Sale epilogues...I love how the Sale lifespan is unwieldy...Fist, a Girl Scout troop had to cancel a scheduled glassybaby tour, Summer conflicted. Alas, we will miss them, however we will see them in the Fall. The Scout mom wrote this:
"Darn, I was so looking forward (to the tour!) I missed the Seconds Sale too. That was a bigger bummer. Have a great Summer."
Confessions of a troop leader...signature glassybaby...we love it. Second epilogue, a sale customer who wiled away 3 hours in line with her valiant husband...sent us this photo of the seconds that she scored...gorgeous.
Have a safe and wonderful 4th of July...may some of your fireworks be glassybaby. More Soon, Nicola
