A wedding rental went out today bound for Orcas Island. Eighty guests will attend...so will the Sun...it is destined to be a Northwest stunner this weekend. The nuptials will take place at the very charming Oddfellow's Hall...see above photo to transport you there. The glassybaby palette? (from left to right in the photo above):
- calgon
- lamb
- cabo
- mint
- cream
- battleship
- beach
Hopefully event photos will follow in another blog. This mix is breath taking. We wish for this couple's eternal happiness.
Other glassybaby minutes...recently we found our kindred spirit in The Bright Side Project (http://thebrightsideproject.com/archives/5151.) The Bright Side Project's mission as stated on their website is bountifully this:
"The Bright Side Project is here to bring you sunshine every day with theme give aways and witty repertoire. We hope to inspire you to stop for a second and remember life is (still) beautiful and there."
We love this mission and love that Tristan, Editor in Chief, contacted us to feature glassybaby on their site. It was our delight to take part in a glassybaby give away. What unfolded? Visitors to the site opened up to share their greatest hopes...of 278 wonderful hopes...all exceedingly worthy of the win...hope #185 captured our hearts. Maryteresa wrote:
"My greatest hope is that each and every person has the courage to let his or her own genuine light shine. When we all do so, the world will be so bright that there will be nothing left for us to do but love one another."Beautiful...hopeful words. Maryteresa received a glassybaby giving set named Marsha's Hope (pearl, sea foam and sea glass.) Ten percent of Marsha's Hope goes to the worthy cause of ovarian cancer research. Congratulations Maryteresa and thanks to all who shared hope with us.
End note...as I whisked to the back today...something beautiful caught my eye...right next to Paul's desk. Have a look at a family of glass blowing shears on a vintage suitcase...I declare this scissors pretty.
More Soon, Happy August, Nicola
