"We've only just begun to live
White lace and promises
A kiss for luck and we're on our way"
"At last
my love has come along
my lonely days are over
and life is like a song"
The scent of spring weddings is in the air. And I am a delirious fool for everything concerning them: the love-happy couple, the music, the dress, the flowers, the cake... remembering to buy the waterproof mascara. All of it just sends me into an unrecognizable euphoria, which leaves my family scratching their heads. Happiness begets happiness, I tell them, and no, I don't need to tone down some meds, thank you very much!
I simply love weddings!
And what could make a more beautiful, dreamy setting than a galaxy of glassybaby lighting the way? (As the wedding planner told my mother when Ernie and I became engaged, "She'll only get married this way once." Presumably, she meant for us to go all out this time around, for all of my ensuing weddings would be more circumspect and less exuberant. So far, so good.)
We were recently at a gala party for a dear friend in Vermont, whose wife had rented gorgeous glassybaby for the occasion. The blues and the greens gave a breathtaking ambience, which reflected the joie de vivre of the celebrant and his many devoted, kindred spirits. The best party ever!
glassybaby makes every celebration better. Think: bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, wedding receptions. And I don't need to tell you glassybaby are wonderful shower and wedding presents.
It's been said, "first comes love, then comes marriage"... and well, you know the rest. But before falling in love, many couples first become friends and then... the magic happens. The new glassybaby goodwill color "friendship" is a most harmonious shade which exudes camaraderie... like, say, sharing a latte.
glassybaby is pleased to be donating 10% from the sale of "friendship" to the Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network, or FAAN, to support the effort to raise public awareness, and to augment research efforts on behalf of those, and their friends and families, affected by food allergies. There are so many people affected: imagine taking your nut-allergic child into a pet store - where unbeknownst to you the floors of the birdcages are covered with nut shells - and having him go into anaphylactic shock! All from him having simply breathed the air... never touching anything. We have so much to learn.
Jacqui O'Day Cooper, our Fresh From the Garden photography winner, was in the store the other day and Tracy snapped her picture.
We thought you would like to to catch another glimpse of her artistic winning photo and, of course, see the comely visage of Jacqui, enjoying her prize: a "refuge" set of glassybaby. Great photo, Jacqui!
Hey, just to let you know: glassybaby is a cover-girl!!
